Harris back in the fold as A&M prepares for NCAAs
Texas A&M sophomore point guard Dash Harris doesn't like to sit out of games, especially big ones. Harris played when he hurt his right wrist earlier in the season, which revealed tendinitis, even if he came off the bench for one game.
So when Harris was sitting on the bench during the Big 12 tournament you know it was hard for the Los Angeles native to not be on the floor. Considering the physical matchup with Sherron Collins the first time the Aggies faced Kansas, it was lucky Harris was in street clothes on the bench even though he was chomping at the bit.
"I told some of my teammates that watching from the bench hurt more than my wrist does, and with each bucket (Collins) scored it kind of ate me up," Harris said.
Now the most appropriately named point guard in the history of the game - sorry Speedy Claxton but you're given name isn't Speedy, it's Craig - will be back for the NCAA tournament and Harris isn't the only one excited about getting back on the court.
His teammates are hoping that he is 100-percent, or as close to it as possible by Friday's tip-off against 12th-seeded Utah State at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash.
