Danville (Ky.) Boyle County linebacker Lamar Dawson is the highest ranked prospect in the Bluegrass State according to Rivals.com. The 6-2, 230-pound Dawson grew up a University of Kentucky fan, but has also developed interest in Louisville's football program as the recruiting process has progressed.

Dawson helped lead Boyle County to a Class 4A state title as a junior, playing tight end and linebacker. He tallied 176 total tackles, including 23 for loss, on defense that season. Dawson is also accomplished in the classroom where he carries a 3.8 GPA.
