Duck visitor commits
The Oregon Ducks did more than just get a win on the field this weekend; they also got a win off of it. 3* Texas linebacker Bryce Cottrell committed to the Oregon Ducks on his official visit to Eugene, becoming the tenth commitment to Oregon's class of 2012.
"This school is unreal," Cottrell told Duck Sports Authority. "There is nowhere else I would rather play."
Cottrell is a 6-foot-3, 230 pound defender from Plano West who was being recruited by various schools at defensive end, while the Ducks offered him as a linebacker. Ranked as the nation's #45 defensive end, Cottrell first visited Eugene this past summer for the Oregon coaches' camp. Oregon's 41-27 win over Arizona State on Saturday night was the first time Cottrell had seen the Ducks play in person.
Cottrell is the sixth defender committed to Oregon in the class of 2012 and the first linebacker.
Duck Sports Authority will follow up with Bryce Cottrell when he returns home from his visit.
