D.J. Gillins is rated the No. 103 prospect in the nation and that makes him a four-star prospect. He's also committed to Texas Tech.

But while Gillins is on the Red Raiders' commitment list he has frequently classified himself as a soft commitment for the Big XII school. It's not as though he's become disenchanted with the school he chose so early in the process.
