The right move for Goggans
When the decision was made to move Michael Goggans from tight end to defensive end this spring, it looked like the redshirt freshman faced a long and tough road to work his way up the depth chart.
But with Bryant Miller still recovering from a pulled hamstring and Quentin Groves watching most of Saturday's scrimmage from the sidelines, Goggans suddenly found himself working with the first and second-team defense.
Goggans totaled a couple of tackles and a sack in the scrimmage, not bad for his first game-like action on defense.
