Practice Report: Tide caps off two-a-days

TideSports.com The Crimson Tide football team finished its final installment of two-a-days with a humid Wednesday evening practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility working in shorts and shoulderpads.
Johnson ready to step up
The Crimson Tide offensive line is expected to be one of the strongest in the SEC in 2007 due in large part to the return of four starters from last year's unit. But for one expected opening day starter, right tackle Mike Johnson, starting for the Tide will be a brand new experience.
Johnson feels his improvement since his arrival at the Capstone has been dramatic and he feels confident that he's finally ready to step up and take on a role as a leader on the Tide's offensive front.
