Gray is one of the state's best
Offensive tackle Joel Gray turned in a stellar sophomore season for Lewisville Hebron in 2006, earning all-district honors and catching the eyes of several college coaching staffs. The blue-chip lineman was poised to take his game to another level this off-season, but an ACL tear in spring football has set him back several months.
The good news for the 6-foot-6, 288-pound Gray is that he should be able begin working out again in the next couple of weeks, and he's shooting for an early October return to the playing field.
Considered one of the top offensive linemen in the Lone Star State for the class of 2009, the ultra-talented Gray is already receiving mail from the majority of the schools in the Big 12, along with Florida, LSU, Arkansas and Alabama.
