Grothe's Promise: There will be no letdowns
With North Carolina sitting between Auburn and West Virginia on the schedule, there is concern the Tar Heels could sneak up on USF and blind-side the Bulls.
USF quarterback Matt Grothe, who perhaps knows the heartbeat of this team more than any player, says that won't happen this Saturday or anytime during the season.
Much of his optimism is based on the intangibles many coaches often say separate the good teams from the great ones.
"I honestly don't think it (us getting upset) will happen this year," Grothe said. "It's hard to understand unless you are in the locker-room with these guys every day. You can just tell it. Emotionally, I've never seen us stick together like we have this year. We have become a real family."
