Top junior grabs USC offer
Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe athlete Stephon Gilmore projects as one of the top prospects in the Palmetto State's class of 2009, and he has already grabbed three early scholarship offers.
"Clemson, USC and Tennessee have offered me," the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Gilmore said. "USC likes me as a safety and Clemson has told me they like me as a DB and some on offense. I've already visited USC and Clemson, and I'm probably going up to Tennessee next weekend."
Gilmore, who is responsible for 11 total touchdowns through five games this season, attended Carolina's game with S.C. State.
"That was my first game at USC, and I liked it a lot," he said. "It was a loud atmosphere. I met coach (Ron) Cooper and coach (Tyrone) Nix. I talked to coach Cooper the most, and I really liked him. He's a cool guy."
