When Andre Civil was a freshman at Sheepshead Bay High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was inserted into the varsity squad's starting lineup and three years later he's still there.

"My coach said just go in there and show us what you've got and I made plays," Civil said about his freshman season. "You learn the game better each year and find something new. Each year I got faster and stronger."
