Matthews thinking state championship
For Christian Matthews, his senior season can't begin soon enough. After losing to Trinity in the quarterfinals last season, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound dual-threat quarterback from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas is focused on winning a State Championship. Matthews spoke to Jayhawk Slant about his goals for the season and a variety of other topics.
Matthews, the No. 30 ranked dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2009, certainly had a successful and impressive junior season at Bowie High School. The three-star quarterback carried the ball 106 times for 604 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
