Robinson waiting for phone to ring
Russell Robinson might have taken a giant step forward in turning his dream of playing in the NBA into a reality with his strong play in the 2009 Orlando Magic Pro Summer League. Robinson played the sixth most minutes of anybody on the team and, most importantly, led the Magic in assists. Head coach Stan Van Gundy even went out of his way to compliment Robinson for his impressive showing.
During Robinson's stint with the 2009 Orlando Magic Pro Summer League, the former Jayhawk averaged 6.6 points, 3.6 assists, 1.4 rebounds one steal and 0.2 blocks per game. He connected on just 38.5 percent of his field goals and 28.6 percent of his shots from behind the arc.
