Lancaster LB makes plays
Much of the state was bombarded with rain this past weekend, and the Thursday night match up between Lancaster and Dallas Samuel at Kincaid Stadium in Dallas was one of many soaked contests. An hour long weather delay with six minutes left in the second quarter could have shot down the momentum built up by Lancaster in the first half, but the Tigers did not let up, and much of the team's success was made possible by junior Trey Brown.
Brown, who currently ranks No. 22 in the latest 2011 LSR Top 100, played on both sides of the ball - linebacker on defense, fullback on offense. He displayed his superb athletic ability from both positions, and put on a dominant performance in the wet and rainy conditions leading Lancaster to a 35-13 victory. D. Humphrey Tiger Stadium.
