Orangebloods.com The Texas Longhorns secured their 13th commitment over the weekend with the pledge of North Shore tight end Barrett Matthews. The 6-1, 215-pounder has earned the reputation of a violent blocker and versatile prospect that can play traditional tight end, in the slot, some H-back or even some fullback. With the Longhorns in need of a tight end as well as an H-back/full back prospect in the 2009 class, the in-state power looks to have filled several needs with a single commitment.
