Favorite Coach:Gene Mauch Favorite Mascot:The Phillie Phanatic Favorite Moments: 1980, 1993 and 1964 -- up until the last week of the season. Thank goodness that the 2008-09 Phillies won the NL Pennant and played well in the World Series.
Favorite Team:Philadelphia Flyers Favorite Players: As I guy who grew up in Texas and moved from PA in 1967 prior to hockey coming to Philadelphia, I am not really into the sport. But they were the lone winner during a long, dark time in Philadelphia sports. Favorite Coach:The late Herb Brooks Favorite Moments: Miracle on Ice - USA vs. USSR in one of the biggest sports upsets of all times.
Beach Volleyball, for the obvious reasons, and figure skating and swimming & diving as my friend's son is quite good at it...and so was Rodney Dangerfield in "Back to School!"
