The glaring difference is that Sherman had a 4th year junior as the backup that had played/practiced at QB every year he'd been on campus. Mack, on the other hand, had only true freshmen available as backups...both in 1999 and in 2010. If you don't think that is a significant difference, you've proven you don't know much about the game.
