Not sure, my boy Roho is close to your age but noone seems to have heard from him in awhile.

It will be interesting to see who steps up.

Posted on 1/19 10:26 AM | IP: Logged

Yep.

Posted on 1/19 10:30 AM | IP: Logged

The fact that you are 74 and know how to work with computers, much less function around this message board is impressive as hell. My parents are in their late 50's and I feel like I am working with idiots when I try to help them with computer issues.

Posted on 1/19 10:30 AM | IP: Logged

at the relative young puppy age of 60, i must bow to your seniority, o' wise one.

Posted on 1/19 10:32 AM | IP: Logged

I am 70 and will be 71 in Feb.

Posted on 1/19 10:35 AM | IP: Logged

At 58, you have my profound respect, sir.

Posted on 1/19 10:35 AM | IP: Logged

That's great.

BTW, glad you're back, Slim. Keep posting.

Posted on 1/19 10:36 AM | IP: Logged

You may be, but I'm not far behind at 72.

Posted on 1/19 10:37 AM | IP: Logged

Nope, close but no cigar. Will be 76 in April.

Like to hear a roll call from others over the age of 50. Sorry kids, this thread is now rated Senior Citizen. smokin

Where's Gramps? This study can't be complete without his age.

50 this June. When I grow up I want to be like these guys.

Posted on 1/19 12:02 PM | IP: Logged

NO,Septua,we're tied{depending on birthday month}and obviously 2nd behind Yorktown. However,I claim to be the longest-term Longhorn FAN. Started rooting for the Horns back in the mid 40's when Dana X Bible was coach,Bobby Layne was QB and Kern Tipps did the radio broadcasts on the Humble ESSO Extra Network. I still enjoy sparring with the young bucks on this site though. I would have been much gentler on you,03,if I had had any idea you were 97.

Posted on 1/19 12:09 PM | IP: Logged

OK, freret, I'm 56, but easily the youngest of my parents' five children. (Mama wasn't thought to be able to have any more kids, and I was originally thought to be a tumor!) My only sister is the next youngest at 63, and my oldest brother is 71. Like my parents, we all graduated from UT.

By the way, my marvelous late father would turn 100 on July 6 this year. He and Mama were married on December 22, 1935, which would have been the 110th birthday of his paternal grandfather, who would be 183 now! (Thomas Green Akin, one of the older soldiers in the Civil War, died in 1902, just after Papa's parents were married.)

I am just a kid at 62.

Has it really been that long since we graduated from HS in '95 and '96 respectively? I must admit, you may be 97, but you don't look a day older than 31 to me! Wink

On another note, my dad, who was one of the early members of the site will turn 74 this year. But, if you ever met him, he could tell you he was 20 years younger and you wouldn't bat an eye. He's in better shape than most 45 year olds!

Good for her!!!

And those 50 somethings who are lagging behind in technology... they're not "representing" very well!

Posted on 1/19 1:03 PM | IP: Logged

It is terrific to see all of you older Longhorns here....you are a link to UT that is priceless.

Posted on 1/19 1:06 PM | IP: Logged

Whoa...bunch of old dudes on here...

"Hey, I guess they're right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I'll be right back. Don't you go dying on me!"

Just kidding, guys, hope I get to see 75-80 years of age.

Posted on 1/19 1:10 PM | IP: Logged

I turn the ripe old age of 144 in April. Graduated UT in 1887.

Posted on 1/19 1:25 PM | IP: Logged

Hell Augie will be 70 in a couple of weeks!
