Damn, I only got six right but two more partially correct...and I'm on this site every day three times a day, regardless of timezone!

Awesome! The sad/awesome thing is that I knew everyone of them without thinking for more than a second!

What was this website called before it became orangebloods?

Excellent. But to show my own lack of patriotism, is the answer to the third subjective or uniformly acknowledged as fact?

The third one is, admittedly, a bit nuanced or subjective, but Ketch went way over the top with a pregame article and every single word turned out wrong for him and the Texas team.

This board did not call him on it too much, of course, so it may not be well known unless one cruises other boards.

This is why I still avoid the staff prediction threads to this day.

"Of all places" was started I think by bgood2texas, and I could've sworn it was Chris Simms at a Chinese restaurant.

Underrated moment in the history of the board. Cracks me up just thinking about it. I don't remember the handle though...

Oh, and once we hit page 3 sometime tomorrow we should to an answers page to help out the newbies. If anybody has saved those threads that would be awesome...especially the sword shop. Lake, he's right though, what could you know about business?

Say what? Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but I thought I started a thread several years ago about seeing Shipley at Taco Cabana.

No, somebody saw Taylor Potts at a Chinese restaurant..of all places. And another poster was offended that he said "of all places." Said that it was a racially insensitive remark.

No this was way before Taylor Potts. The original was Shipley at Taco C.

The all time best thread on this board. Kid told me I didn't know anything about business and respectfully disagreed with my recommendations. This, after admitting he lived at home with his parents, hosted sword parties in their garage, had rented retail space he couldn't affort, and lost his GF b/c she thought dressing up in costume and going to sword shows was lame. laugh

I generally make a point to be respectful of all posters, but if that thread was a car wreck, the entire board was rubber necking that day/night.

I lost it when he unveiled his plan for a monthly newsletter as well for other sword enthusiasts - no I am not kidding.

That was an awesome thread!

Name the poster that offered up personal slavery in exchange for a ticket to the 2006 Rose bowl? Which posters wife almost took him up on it?

I changed jobs hence IP addresses about 2 years ago but I have been on since 2001. Signed up for UTX news letter in 03 and Letter86's last year. Best source of inside information available.

b) Muschamp's more UT friendly sideline exclamation
c) Ketch drops a huge recruiting nugget

First recollection of "boom goes the dynamite" was a thread title by Ketch and it had to do with the beginnings of the Snead decommit from Florida to Texas.

Only one I don't know is Georgia...is it a Stafford or Muschamp thing?

What does the term "mag" refer to?

Matt Stafford.

Any thread on him there was a poster who would just post "Georgia" when discussing where he would end up.

Stafford.

Ever since Matt Staffod was a junior at HP, it was well known in that area that he was heading to Georgia. He was still an in state 5-star QB, so Mack stayed on him and Stafford showed a little interest, but that was about it. Every time someone posted any kind of update on Stafford and a few people would get there hopes up, about 20 people would simply respond, "Georgia". It became a running joke for the next few years.
