UCLA offers northwest standout

Defensive end Charlie Hopkins (6-6, 255, 5.0) from Spokane (Wash.) Gonzaga Prep has seen his stock heat up this spring. He now has seven offers on the table, including UCLA and it is easy to understand why.

Hopkins is very athletic and versatile. Though he is primarily being recruited as a defensive end by D-I schools, he has the versatility and growth potential to play on the offensive side of the ball. He earned first-team all-league as a junior after accounting for 10 sacks, one interception and one touchdown.
