Simmons setting trips

As the college bowl season is in full swing many teams are concentrating on winning their bowl games. Coaching changes are taking place and recruiting has taken a backseat in the minds of many. But for those recruits that have yet to commit to a school, recruiting is at the forefront of their lives. Rivals' 3* LB Ryan Simmons is just such a recruit and he spoke to Duck Sports Authority recently to update us on his recruitment.

"I still have a top four of Wake Forrest, Stanford, Oregon and Oklahoma State. I'm going to finish out with my officials and that's it," said Simmons.

"At this point I'd say they are all even because I haven't really seen anything so I can't say who is my top school. They are all communicating pretty much the same."

Simmons has only taken one official visit so far to Wake Forrest where his cousin Aaron Curry was an all American linebacker. Curry is now with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Now that Simmons' season is over he has plans to take two more visits.

"This weekend I'm going to be going to Oklahoma State," said Simmons. "I don't have anything else actually set just yet. We're thinking about going to Oregon on the 21st but that's not a for sure go just yet because I haven't really finalized everything with my parents and the coaches just yet."
