Already closing in on 20 verbal offers, Atlanta (Ga.) St. Pius X standout Nick Glass added another feather in his cap on Monday evening when he received an offer from Ohio State. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound safety had a dominant sophomore season in which he recorded 75 tackles, five sacks, and four interceptions. Glass' big season has been rewarded with numerous outstanding offers and he was clearly excited to add the Buckeyes to his list.

"I was happy, I was so ecstatic," said Glass. "They're one of the big programs and coach Urban Meyer, he's one of the best coaches in college football over the last 10 years."

Glass doesn't have anything set in stone yet but he does plan to make a trip to Columbus at some point, possibly as early as April.

"I'm definitely going to get up there and check them out," he said. "I'm going to try and get up there with my best friend (fellow 2014 standout) Demarre Kitt (for the spring game)."

In addition to Ohio State, Glass will be checking out several schools over the next month and a half for spring practices and spring games.

"I'm going to Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Alabama," he said.

With such an impressive early offer list, Glass is using his spring to do as much research as possible on the schools that are recruiting him. For now, he maintains that he is wide open.

"I don't (have any favorites)," he said. "Everybody is at the same stage right now; anybody has a chance to make an impression, anybody."

With a tremendous combination of size and speed, it's not a surprise that Glass has racked up so many early offers. The big-time safety talked about what he feels he does best on the football field.

"I'm very vocal about everything, every play I'm talking," he said. "I'm a ball hawk. When the ball is in the air, I'm going to get it. I like to hit, I'm a sure tackler, I like to make the big hit as well but I can make the sure tackle."

Glass also added that he is considering coming up to Ohio State's camp over the summer in order to get a chance to interact with the coaching staff.
