Louisville visit changes Matthews' plans

Two weeks ago Arlington (Texas) Bowie dual-threat quarterback Christian Matthews thought he was close to making his decision. After a recent visit to Louisville, however, the 6-3, 180-pound prospect has had to rethink his recruitment. On Monday he talked about what has changed.

A two-year starter at Bowie High, Matthews threw for 2,786 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior while rushing for 604 yards and eight more scores on 108 carries. As a sophomore he accumulated 1,538 yards passing with eight touchdowns and 698 yards rushing with 11 touchdowns.
