Coach: Elijah has legitimate NBA range

The Kansas coaching staff received some good news last week. Elijah Johnson decided to put an end to his recruitment by giving a verbal commitment to the Jayhawks during his official visit. The four-star point guard is considered one of the top five prospects at his position, and had been a priority for the staff for quite some time. Cheyenne High School head coach Teral Fair just spoke to Jayhawk Slant about Johnson provided us with a breakdown of what type of player KU is getting in Johnson.

Johnson, the No. 27 ranked player in the class of 2009, has always had a high amount of interest in Kansas. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound point guard from Las Vegas, Nev., has traveled to Lawrence on a number of occasions.
