I was able to have a quick chat with an NFL source on the agency side of things who has been busy courting new clients for the 2021 NFL draft, and who has been in contact with many NFL scouting sources, GMs and front-office associates across the league to get feedback about how the NFL sees particular players in an effort to know best where to focus his efforts. Here are just a few quick takeaways from the conversation:
OT SAM COSMI: My grading and evaluation of Cosmi thus far has been as a player who should probably be a Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) pick based on his tape. This person agreed that this is probably the most likely outcome. He said Cosmi need to strengthen up in the run game and continue to develop, and that the media (ie Kiper and McShay) are higher on Cosmi (who both have rated as a first-round prospect as implied by their initial big boards) than the "real" NFL types whose evals ...
