Decision coming for OL Rami Hammad

Rami Hammad has seen his stock shoot through the roof in recent weeks. The offensive lineman from Irving, who had been committed to Baylor, has received a slew of new scholarship offers in the past couple weeks, with close to 20 new teams jumping into the mix.
Hammad committed to Baylor in November, but with the new attention he's receiving, he's decided to evaluate some other options. He officially decommitted on Sunday afternoon, and he now faces a tough final decision.

Hammad took an unofficial visit to Texas this weekend, and the Longhorns gave him plenty to think about.
"I loved it. The opportunity for playing time is there. The education is good," Hammad said. "I loved everything about it."
Hammad has not yet had a chance to talk to his high school coaches or the Baylor coaches about his Texas visit. He plans to do that on Sunday, and he's looking to announce a final decision on Wednesday of this week.
"I need to talk to my coach, set something up. But that's what's probably going to happen," Hammad said.
During the Texas visit, Hammad spent time talking to Texas head coach Mack Brown and offensive line coach Stacy Searels. Both indicated to Hammad that they'd love have him as part of the UT program.
"Mack Brown, he telling us about future plans, where the program is heading," Hammad said. "It was all very informal. He told us everything about the school. Coach Searels, we just talked about expectations and things like that."
What does Hammad think of Searels, a coach that's known to be very demanding of his offensive linemen?
"I think it's a perfect match," Hammad said of his style of play and Serels' coaching style.
Hammad continues to list four schools under consideration for his final commitment - Baylor, Texas, TCU and Oklahoma. Everyone should know his final decision later this week.
"That's my top four right now. I'll announce on Wednesday," Hammad said.
