Perrilloux talks Texas, post LSU camp visit

It’s hasn’t even been two weeks since the nation’s top quarterback, Ryan Perrilloux, pledged to Texas, but for Longhorn fans that have been anxiously awaiting word to see just how firm Perrilloux’s commitment is following a weekend camp visit to LSU, the days have really dragged on.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound blue-chip from Reserve (La) East St. John put Texas fans’ fears to rest this week, saying the odds of him switching his commitment are 99-1.

“Right now my commitment is firm. It was a good choice and my decision is pretty solid,” said Perrilloux.
While he works to put his decision behind him, the strong-armed righty said he’s well aware that schools are going to continue to recruit him up until signing day, and he got a small dose of that at last weekend’s camp in Baton Rouge.
“They tried to work me a little bit but they mainly treated me like they always do,” Perrilloux said. “They said they’re not going to stop recruiting me. Like they said, there’s a lot of time between now and signing day so everybody’s going to keep coming.”
In the meantime, Perrilloux and his East St. John teammates are focused in on summer practices, which started this week.
“Two-a-days are going really well. Our team looks really, really good … we’ve got some explosive players on our team this year,” said Perrilloux.
Where does a player with Perrilloux’s already impressive skills focus?
“Mainly I’m just trying to get our team together, building our confidence up high so we have the feeling that we can’t be beat. So we’re just trying to get better and win a state championship this year.”
