There have been rumors swirling around that Joseph Red Bryant and Jorrie Adams might have committed to Texas A&M last wee. Not true, Bryant said.
Everything is still pretty much the same for me, Bryant said. Im going to wait until the season is over before I set up any official visits. Im still open. I dont even have any in mind that Ill for sure visit.
Braynt and Adams, teammates at Jasper High, were in College Station last weekend to watch Texas A&M knock off top-ranked Oklahoma. The 6-5, 300-pound standout defensive tackle said he enjoyed the trip, especially the effort put forth by the Aggies.
It was fun, he said. I liked the way they played hard even though theyre having kind of a rough season this year. I liked the way they came out and played that game. It was a good one to watch.
As for now, Bryant and his teammates are focusing on the state playoffs, a trek that begins this Friday against Mexia.
Im just gearing up for the playoffs right now, he said. I think we have a pretty good chance to win it all. I hope so anyway.
