Red Bryant says he is still wide open

There have been rumors swirling around that Joseph “Red” Bryant and Jorrie Adams might have committed to Texas A&M last wee. Not true, Bryant said.
“Everything is still pretty much the same for me,” Bryant said. “I’m going to wait until the season is over before I set up any official visits. I’m still open. I don’t even have any in mind that I’ll for sure visit.”

Braynt and Adams, teammates at Jasper High, were in College Station last weekend to watch Texas A&M knock off top-ranked Oklahoma. The 6-5, 300-pound standout defensive tackle said he enjoyed the trip, especially the effort put forth by the Aggies.
“It was fun,” he said. “I liked the way they played hard even though they’re having kind of a rough season this year. I liked the way they came out and played that game. It was a good one to watch.”
As for now, Bryant and his teammates are focusing on the state playoffs, a trek that begins this Friday against Mexia.
“I’m just gearing up for the playoffs right now,” he said. “I think we have a pretty good chance to win it all. I hope so anyway.”
