After picking up an offer from the Texas Longhorns earlier this year, 2025 offensive lineman Michael Fasusi had noted that he was excited to get down to Austin for a firsthand look at what the Texas program had to offer. On Friday, the Lewisville standout made his way to the UT campus for his first visit and Fasusi came away impressed.

“I loved it, loved the way they welcomed me. It was nice,” Fasusi said. “I talked with coach (Kyle) Flood, spoke with coach (Steve Sarkisian).”

The message from the Texas staff was pretty direct … they’d love to have him in Austin and he’s a priority target.

“They said they want me. They know I’m going to be one of the top guys in the 2025 class,” Fasusi said. “They know how good I’m going to be, want me to keep doing what I’m doing.”

Texas made such a strong impression that Fasusi said he’s considering returning on June 3 for a Longhorn summer camp. He may also camp at Alabama in June, although no plans are set in stone.

Prior to last weekend’s visit, Texas was a program that was already on Fasusi’s radar. Now that he’s seen the Longhorn program in person, Texas’s position is even stronger.

“Definitely,” Fasusi said when asked if Texas helped itself with his visit. “I loved everything I saw there.”

At 6-6 and 290 pounds, Fasusi is one of the top overall prospects in the state of Texas for the 2025 class. He has offers from all over the country and while his football talents are obvious to anyone paying attention, he said it was elements outside of football that caught his attention at Texas.

“What I liked the most, they didn’t just care about football. They really care about my academics,” Fasusi said. “I saw the facilities, everything that keeps the players intact, what my schedule would be, the dorms, the medical facilities.”

Fasusi was accompanied on the visit by his father, who was equally impressed.

“He said it’s a school he could see me playing at,” Fasusi said.

Fasusi is ranked as a four-star prospect and currently checks in at No. 106 on the Rivals100.
