The class of 2022 headlined the Under Armour All-American Week down in Orlando – and rightfully so. Several of the premier prospects around the nation were invited to showcase their talents during practice and in the game. Many future Texas Longhorns were among the prospects in the Sunshine State last week.

Looking ahead to the future, there was also a ton of talent in the 2026 class down in Orlando. The UA Futures Game invited some of the top eighth grade talent from around the nation to Florida. Many stood out.

Orangebloods had the opportunity to get an up-close view at the young talent.

QB Julian Lewis – Lewis was one of the more notable prospects in town for the UA Futures Game. The young quarterback already holds scholarship offers from Florida, Ole Miss, and Penn State.

He has a quick release and is decisive where he is going with the football. The Carrollton (Ga.) signal caller is on track to be one of the highest rated prospects in his class assuming he continues the trajectory that he is already on.

DL Jahkeem Stewart – Stewart is a massive prospect out of Louisiana, with the ability to play offensive or defensive line. He is already listed at 6-4 and 266 pounds. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss have all extended offers.

Stewart looks the part in every way and showed off some athletic ability during the practices.

WR Caleb Smith – Out of Allen, Smith is a speedy athlete that projects to either receiver or in the secondary. Smith claims a 11.10 100m and is a four-time Junior Olympic All-American.

Utah became the first program to offer the speedster back in October. Smith has rare speed that should translate to him being an exciting player on the high school level.

WR Naeem Burroughs – One of the wideouts that caught my eye from the Futures Game practices was Florida wide receiver Naeem Burroughs. Burroughs is a smooth route runner with soft hands.

A track athlete, he has a multi-sport background. His older brother, Quincy Burroughs, signed with Cincinnati in this year’s recruiting cycle. There’s a lot to like about this young receiver prospect.

DB Preston Ashley – Brandon (Ms.) defensive back Preston Ashley was one of a handful of Magnolia State prospects in Orlando. Ashley is a confident corner that is not afraid to man-up with anybody.

His aggressiveness burned him a couple times in one-on-one drills, but he also won his fair share of battles. Ashley has ball-hawking skills and shows the ability to play on an island.

RB Davian Groce – Groce was one of the better running backs during the practices. The Frisco (Tx.) native shined as a ball carrier and as a receiving option out of the backfield. He already has good size and flashes advanced skills already.

He has the frame that could possibly allow him to grow into a defender, too.

WR Brayden Robinson – Red Oak wideout Brayden Robinson is a slot pass-catcher with shiftiness and YAC ability. Robinson is still learning some of the nuances at the position, but he knows how to get open and has some electric ability with the ball in his hands.
